Suitability - Mid market, family vacations - away from it all; secure crime free; Car hire recommended; Two 18 hole golf courses, Secret Valley & Tsada (nr Paphos) - as well as a third at Aphrodite Hills.

Lovely leisure spot with its own warm welcoming atmosphere. The 2-bedroom villa is part of a small, select, holiday retreat nestling on a hillside overlooking Pissouri Bay - a lovely, tranquil location with no “through traffic.” The avenue lined with citrus trees leads to a cul-de-sac. Take pleasure in the solitude far from the bustling world of mass tourism. Ampelohori is reassuringly free of “clubbing.” This is not the place for youthful travellers seeking “fast-pace” fun.

A family-owned, single storey 2-bedroom property, sleeps 4/5 persons. With large verandah, secluded rear garden and courtyard. The villa occupies a well-appointed position with a southerly aspect towards Pissouri Bay. It is comprehensively equipped with traditional Cypriot-style pine furniture and fittings. Disabled accessible. 20 metre length Swimming pool (shared) plus children’s pool.

Ampelohori has a large shared swimming pool, plus children’s pool set in beautiful landscaped gardens. The Ampeli taverna compliments the resort - about 70 metres from the villa. An ideal venue just to stroll and enjoy a Cypriot coffee or a glass of wine.

Ampelohori is a pleasant escape for all the family - 5 minutes’ drive to the accredited EU blue flag beach and 10 minutes’ drive to the quaint Pissouri village. Pissouri Beach offers enthusiasts a wide variety of water sports including sailing, water skiing, paragliding, snorkelling.

2011 marks the 25^th anniversary of letting this villa. Many complimentary acknowledgements have been received from customers. References can be supplied.

Pissouri Bay with rugged coastline - Midway between Paphos and Limassol (distance 32 km). Pissouri Beach is a tranquil, unspoilt resort. The bay features a sandy beach with environmentally-friendly sea which meets the EU blue flag for water quality standard. Water sports include paragliding, sailing, water skiing and wind surfing. At the beach fringe, there is one hotel, four tavernas and one café offering a range of local specialties.

Accessible for disabled

Visitors with disability or mobility problems are welcomed. The villa is not purpose-built, however, it has been adapted as far as practicable. The accommodation is suitable for a person with restricted walking ability and for wheelchair users who are able to stand or walk a short distance.

Accommodation and patio at ground floor level. Ramp from pavement to front door; second ramp to rear garden and external shower. Fixtures have been fitted in the bathroom to assist balance. New external “purpose-built” H&C shower unit, wheel-in wet room. Door width 75 cm. Lever taps.

My stay at the Villa Kakopetria was really enjoyable and I had 2 lovely weeks of relaxation and chilling out. The rooms are quite spacious so I had no problems moving around and the access to all rooms, including the bathroom, was sometimes tight but not difficult…..door width 65cm. There shouldn’t be any difficulties for a person in a mechanical wheelchair, especially someone with a small amount of independent mobility……. The villa is not suitable for someone using an electric wheelchair.

The grab rails in the bathroom made using the toilet easy and especially the outside shower unit was great for me as it is roomy and easy to access from the rear garden. We enjoyed the swimming from the beach at Pissouri Bay but most days we swam in the shared pool in the Ampelohori gardens. Ampelohori is very quiet and the patio at the rear of the villa gives you a nice private area….. The only thing that might be a bit of a problem is the access to the swimming pool, which is down a rather long, steep ramp which would require help……. And of course, there is no special equipment to get you into and out of the pool but I can assure you that it is worth the effort because the swimming was just great! September 2010.
