Location

The luxury villa is centrally situated on the ridge running from the village of Pissouri, Cyprus to the cliffs of Cape Aspro. From the villa there are unspoilt views across the open countryside towards the sea.

The villa is very well equipped. A welcome pack of wine, water, bread, milk, coffee, tea, etc is provided.

Facilities

The villa is on one floor and therefore suitable for anyone with problems of mobility - it can be entered from the pavement via the driveway and a ramp, without having to negotiate any steps. It consists of two air-conditioned bedrooms, one large open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen, one en-suite bathroom and one other shower room, each with WC. Oil fired central heating is available for the cooler months. Telephone is available for making local calls (and receiving all calls).

A broadband internet connection is available - to which guests can connect their own laptop.

The villa has central heating - which is often needed from December to March - very few villas have this facility  - and this is one reason for the price we have to charge in winter - heating oil is far more expensive in Cyprus than the UK!

Outside is a large patio, to three sides of the house with a storage "shed" on the fourth side. A private swimming pool, 9 x 4 metres (approx. 30 x 13 ft), with minimum depth of 1 metre, and a maximum depth of 2.4 metres, is provided for those staying in the house - pool cleaning and maintenance is carried out as required. Normally the water is warm enough from May to October, inclusive, but hardy souls may use it at other times particularly in April & November. The pool temperature averages 29°C in July & August, but falls to 20°C by November.
 

Bedrooms

Both bedrooms have their own integral air-conditioner which can be individually controlled. The units are NOT fitted with timers and can be used as required.

There is one double bedroom with king-size bed and en-suite bathroom, and one twin bedroom with patio doors leading to the patio - this one has a marvelous view down to the sea. Both bedrooms have plenty of wardrobe & cupboard space.

An additional folding bed, which can be placed in either bedroom or in the lounge, is available.

This is a luxury kitchen, which is well equipped for 6 guests and includes a cooker (electric oven and gas hob) automatic washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, wide-slot electric toaster, electric fruit-juicer, etc.

All the windows and the patio doors in the lounge have tailor-made sunblock blinds which can totally cover all the glass, these can be used with the decorative curtains as required.

The lounge area has a 3-seater and a 2-seater settee, plus a dining table and chairs. Available for your use are a flat screen TV, plus a combined DVD/video player, There is satellite TV, including the free UK channels such as BBC1, BBC2, ITV, Channel 4, Channel Five, Sky News, BBC Children's channels, BBC 3 & BBC4, etc. CDs play via the DVD player.

The villa is serviced and cleaned between lets, and you will be provided with one clean set of sheets, etc so you can change them during your stay. If you want more frequent changes the washing machine is available.

Outside

You will find tables & chairs for al fresco meals, plus loungers to enable you to relax in the sun or shade. A gas BBQ is also available should you wish to stay at home for meals.

Car Hire & Flights

Although the villa is little more than a mile from the centre of Pissouri village, a car is really essential for those staying in Kambos. You can either hire a car at the airport, and drive to the villa, or get a taxi from the airport and hire a car in Pissouri village on arrival. Details to help you make the appropriate arrangements will be sent with your confirmation, then you can either make your own arrangements, or assistance will be offered if requested.

Paphos airport is the most convenient airport for Pissouri, being only about a 30 minute drive away, but there are fewer flights to Paphos than to Larnaca airport, which is about an 80 minute drive away.

NOTE - Kambos is not marked on the map below, but it is next to 002 Trahonas, so you can find its location that way!

The villa continues to be very popular, and as of 04 February, it is only available for the following dates:

• from 1 December 2012

Rates per week* (in British Pounds sterling)

Payment - 25% deposit on booking, balance a minimum of 6 weeks before departure.

*Note: the rate charged will be pro-rata, so that bookings that span two calendar months will depend on the number of days booked in each month.

Please note that if you choose to cancel, the deposit and/or balance is not refundable. In your own interests, please ensure you take out adequate travel/cancellation insurance at the time of booking, so that if you need to cancel for any reason, e.g. illness/accident to yourself, travelling companion, close family member etc, then you will be covered to receive reimbursement.

The south-west coast of Cyprus from Paphos to Limassol, with Pissouri central. Taken from one of the best, if not the best, maps of Cyprus available - from Kyriakou Travelmaps(R) - now fully updated, available throughout Cyprus.

The villa is on the road out of Pissouri village to the south, and is very near the ‘2’ of the 276 metres, showing the height of ‘Trachonas’. The road to Pissouri beach has now been made into a decent minor road.
