Once again we have spent a most enjoyable week
at Kambos. This holiday we brought our son David and his wife Yvonne who
hail from Sleaford in Lincolnshire. They thought they had won the Lottery!
Many thanks again to Winn and Roger, also Mary and Jim! |

We have really enjoyed our second visit to
Villa Kambos. The location is wonderful and the patio is a great place to
enjoy an evening aperitif. The sunsets have been wonderful! We have been
fascinated by the variety of bird life around the villa and have got
particularly attached to a Little Owl, which we see most evenings along the
road. |

We had a wonderful stay at Kambos. The house is
fully equipped with all you could wish for. We will be back & recommend to
family & friends in the US and UK. |

This is our third time [in Kambos] and need I
say any more in praise of Kambos or Pissouri than is already written in this
visitors' book. We are so impressed we have booked to come back next year. |

This is our third time and we love it. Everyone
very friendly; weather has been great; all eating places are great but the
Olympus is out of this world - top class and so cheap: meals from 4.25 each.
Will be coming back again in a few years' time. |

The villa has everything we expected and more.
The weather has been wonderful. The sea at Ladies Mile beach was so warm it
was like getting into a warm bath: sea temp was about 35°C. We ate at all
the tavernas in the village and can't think of a bad thing to say about any
of them. Cyprus Night on Wednesday is a must! Stay till the end and watch
the villagers let their hair down. The pool was really wonderful but the
children are really miserable now as they have to go home. |

We have had a wonderful week at Kambos Villa -
and would love to return! Everything was thought of even to the most welcome
starter supplies! The villa is spotless and so well looked after. |

My daughter, Victoria, having spent her third
holiday at Kambos - and now at a loss for words to express delight in this
villa, the valley below and the island generally - has ordered me to scribble
a few remarks. She, her husband Gordon and myself have just spent seventeen
days enjoying ourselves and touring this magic island and marvelling in its
history and antiquities and the hospitality of its people - and regretting
the senseless division of its inhabitants.
Weather has been a little mixed - not as warm, sometimes, as we had
hoped, but this villa is so-o-o comfortable. They will certainly be back
again and again - and so will I (if I’m still around!).
We wish all who follow us happy holidays here - you’ll find it very easy. |

We have thoroughly enjoyed our week’s holiday
together at Kambos. The villa has a beautiful view to the sea and is ideally
situated for a quiet and restful holiday. Although our weather was
changeable and entertaining we were still able to go sightseeing each day.
We certainly intend to return in the near future.
Many thanks to Jim and Mary. Great to see you both again! Thank you Pat
for cleaning the pool but at 58° - much too cold to test! |

25 January to 1 February 2003 |
Well, we threatened to return, and return we
did! We have spent a most idyllic three weeks barbecuing, touring the
island’s mountain villages, and generally relaxing by the pool well into the
evening. We did have 2 storms and 2 evenings/early mornings of rain, but we
never couldn’t do what we planned because of the weather. For several days,
Radio Limassol said it was 26-27°C.
Our arriving flight was a late evening affair at Paphos, so the various
“goodies” which had been left for us by Jimmy and Mary went down very well.
With the Christmas tree and decorations being put up in the village and
the huge tree outside Orphanides at Limassol it must be time to go and think
about Christmas in England.
Thank you to Roger and Winn for letting us borrow your beautiful home in
the sun again - roll on 13 weeks today when we return! |

Goodbye Villa Kambos. We have enjoyed our stay
but a week simply hasn’t been enough. As has been said many times before,
the villa and its surroundings are wonderful. The weather has been superb
and we have wanted for nothing (except maybe a pair of binoculars - we must
remember to bring some with us next time!)
Many thanks to Jim and Mary - the welcome pack was very gratefully
received and thank you Pat for keeping the pool so clean.
We all braved the pool on a daily basis - it’s not that bad once you’re
in, honest! |

Thank you for having us yet again, Kambos - we
shall return if you are available. This was our third visit to Pissouri, and
we still have not seen all we wish to see of Cyprus. The weather was superb,
and the people delightful as usual. The house was lovely to stay in, and the
pool and patio well used. Thanks to all concerned in making our stay so
pleasant. |

6 to 13 October 2003 |
This was our first visit to Cyprus and we have
had a wonderful week! The village of Pissouri was very pretty and seemed
quite unspoilt and traditional. The highlight, however, has been Villa
Kambos and the pool. We spent most of our week lazing by the pool, swimming,
browning, eating and enjoying the local view.
The BBQ has also been great and we’ve had some lovely poolside meals. The
local tavernas have also been a big part of our holiday, our favourite being
the Hideaway.
The weather has been superb these past few days and we only had one
cloudy day during the week and some windy days earlier on.
All in all the Villa Kambos lived up to all of our expectations and we’ve
had a fantastic Cyprus holiday. |

Marvellous villa, superb location. Weather has
been hot; at times windy - but no sand in the pool!
Nice eateries in Pissouri village - No.1 being the Hideaway. Cyprus
night on a Wednesday is very enjoyable.

We have all thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks in
Kambos, and as a result of our stay in Pissouri are now seriously
considering buying a place of our own here!
Pat and Elaine, who clean the pool and garden, are a lovely couple, as
are Jimmy and Mary who look after the house. They are all very happy to
give all sorts of interesting information about the area, and helpful
tips. |

Our second visit to Kambos and again we loved
it. This year we celebrated 35 years of marriage and Cyprus, Pissouri and
Kambos were the ideal place to come.
The weather has been very hot but as always in Pissouri the breeze has
been most refreshing.
We will be back, hopefully next year. |

We're the third pair of honeymooners at Kambos,
and it was a wonderful place to unwind. Being able to make freshly
squeezed orange juice with the electric juicer was wonderful - as Fawlty
Towers fans know, freshly squeezed means out of an orange, not out of a
bottle!
We thoroughly recommend jetskiing and parascending, which we both tried
for the first time - great fun!!
Weather has been fantastic, and villa and pool perfect. We look forward
to our next visit. |

Had a lovely two weeks. Weather, food and

Cyprus night is in the village on a Wednesday. It's really worthwhile

After two wonderful weeks in
this truly beautiful villa, Kambos, in the charming village of Pissouri,
the day has come for our return home.
Everything about our time here has been a delight, from the weather to
the food, to the sightseeing. We have become extremely fit as we prefer to
walk to the village each evening and back and have only hired a car for a
couple of days to explore.
The food is plentiful and cheap. Highly recommended comes The Hideaway
and The Moonlight Tavern; good, inexpensive food with good Cypriot
atmosphere. Excellent food in The Hill View, but no atmosphere as used
only by English folk.

12 to 26 May 2002 |
The long drive from Larnaca
airport was quickly forgotten when we arrived to discover a spotlessly
clean, spacious villa with a lovely pool and spectacular view. After a
good night’s sleep it became apparent that the villa had everything we
would need on holiday (including egg cups).
The weather wasn’t as good as we’d hoped for in the first week, and
as a result we decided to go sight seeing and covered over 1000km on our
travels!
We all agree that Nicosia is well worth a visit, but it’s a long
drive so get up early! The village was quite quiet as it is early in the
season.
The weather improved during the second week but it was still too cold
to use the pool! We were however able to relax by the pool once the wind
dropped.
Many thanks to the owners for letting us stay in their beautiful villa
and to Jim and Mary for the welcome package and help with the central
heating. |

An excellent location and a very
nice villa. The villa is a perfect place for a really good holiday - we
were impressed by the presentation and standard of the facilities. Jimmy
and Mary Durup were really hospitable and helpful.
We can recommend the Olympus Palace - the food is good and if you talk
to him nicely the waiter will give you free coffee and brandy! The
Columbia Beach Hotel in Pissouri Beach has good coffee also.
If you are interested in the political aspects of the island’s recent
history, I suggest reading the novel written by the villa’s owner,
called Emerald Aphrodite. |

13 to 20 March 2002 |
Two weeks of paradise. What a
setting; such luxury; and after two days of storms we’ve had the most
wonderful time on the island. On previous visits, the easy way of a
package tour has always been our approach - never again. The freedom of
not being herded like cattle at the airport, queuing for the night coach,
queuing for your room key - need I go on?? The smooth transfer at Paphos
from plane to car (thanks to Petsas and Roger), and then the delights of
the villa - just wish the pool had been a little warmer, but then who in
their right mind would go swimming in England outside in February?!
The welcome pack of wine, bread, eggs etc. (please note the order of
importance!) was lovely to receive - thank you.
It has been my father’s first visit to the island - impressed is not
the word; ecstatic might be nearer the mark, and at 81 this month I’m
sure this has given him a new lease of life. |

20 February to 6 March 2002 |
Two weeks till Xmas - who would
believe it! Today is our last day and the weather is lovely! It has rained
all week but it has not dented our spirits … a lovely quiet family week.
The villa is very comfortable and we highly recommend that you visit
Olympus Palace restaurant - best food and wonderful friendly atmosphere -
Andreas will take good care of you!
Have a lovely holiday! We did! |

We flew into Paphos and were
greeted with the beautiful Cyprus sun and warm breezes. Our car at the
airport was waiting for us with the efficiency of Petsas & Sons Ltd.
The directions to Pissouri were first class and it was a sheer delight
to see ‘Kambos’ for the first time. Thank you so much for the welcome
pack waiting for us on our arrival.
Kambos is beautiful and thank you for allowing us to share your lovely
home.
We have toured Cyprus and have been delighted with the warmth and
hospitality of the Cypriot people, but there is so much more we would want
to see. So it is a case of "see Cyprus (and Kambos)" and we are
compelled to come back again. |

28 October to 4 November 2001 |
What can we say that hasn’t
already been said! The villa is lovely and well kept. The groceries that
were here on our arrival were very welcome. Everything is reasonably
priced, can’t believe that for the first time ever we will be taking
money home with us!! The best thing for us has been that we discovered the
water sports on Pissouri Beach run by Yiannos and Dia who welcomed us as
though we were old friends and we sat with them and other English people
who now live here for most of the week. Joe has been "skipper"
for Yiannos and if you want to learn to ski, he is your man (and so
cheap).
Limassol was good for a visit, pretty harbour and good shops in the old
town. A week was not long enough and, to coin an old phrase, "we’ll
be back". The two afternoons of rain did not dampen our spirits. |

A wonderful week at Kambos. It
was a pleasure to stay here, everything so beautifully cared for and such
a lovely pool. This was our second visit to Pissouri and certainly won’t
be the last. We liked the little taverna called "Monte Beach".
They were so friendly and it was nice to sit and look at the sea - lovely
grilled swordfish and salads, and excellent grilled trout.
Thanks Jim and Mary for keeping this house so spotless, and we enjoyed
the wine very much.
Oh dear I do not want to go home! |

30 September to 7 October 2001 |
This villa is really lovely. The
breeze coming across the gorge is very much appreciated. Many thanks to
Jim and Mary, though we’ve never met you. Thank you for the bottle of
wine and groceries in the fridge. It was very welcome as we arrived very
late so. nowhere was open.
Haven’t given the goats a drink - honest. The last time we were here
in Cyprus was 10 years ago. So we have noticed a lot of changes. But it’s
still a lovely place and the Cypriot people are still very nice and
friendly.
Well our holiday is nearly at an end and now we’ll be sorry to go
home in one way. We’ve had a wonderful time, and we certainly won’t
leave it another 10 years before we return. |

23 to 30 September 2001 |
Yes! As we said we will come
back again and here we are. What a lovely place this is - so friendly,
nice and hot. We love coming here; we would love to live here one day - it’s
so very friendly. We haven’t had one bad meal yet which is very good and
the sun setting is out of this world.
The people next door are very nice. All in all a great place to have a
holiday. Would come back once again - maybe two years time as we came the
last two years. |

It's wonderful to be back in Cyprus again.
Even better to return to our favourite place - Pissouri. Left London in waterproofs and
arrived at Larnaca in 29C heat! The villa is superb, it has everything. The air
conditioning has been a godsend in the bedroom, although as always the Pissouri 'breeze'
is refreshing. For us, there is nowhere better to eat than the Hideaway. The food is
wonderful. We recommend his house red wine, which he gets from a vineyard along the coast.
We look forward very much to returning next year to Pissouri. Two weeks in Cyprus, in
Kambos Villa is definitely not long enough! Have as wonderful a time as we have had to all
who follow us to this fantastic place. |
Dorothy & Alan Wilde, Sharnbrook, Beds |
8 22 July 2001 |
Another wonderfully
relaxing holiday here at Kambos Villa, slightly changed by our circumstances, but still as
enjoyable. The goats are still as demanding for their early morning drink, the eagles
still as dramatic as they soar overhead, and the swallows still chatter as they swoop into
the pool for insects. The restaurants still serve the best food we have ever had
far too good must both be pounds heavier on the way home! Still, now its back
to reality. Hope we can manage to get back to our dream again next year. |

24 June 8 July 2001 |
We had all had an excellent holiday with
glorious weather. The pool has kept Stuart & Jamie amused, and when we have managed to
tear them away from it we have visited a couple of sites, our favourite being The Temple
of Apollon Hilates towards Kourion. The bar-b-q has served us well and we have bought most
of our groceries from Orphanides it has everything and more! We are all wonderfully
tanned and ready for the onslaught of a British Summer?! |

27 May 10 June 2001 |
We have warmed to Pissouri with each day
passing. Would like to come back. This holiday is dedicated to our good friends Chris and
Jill who could not make it due to illness get well soon Jill. They persuaded us to
come here! Have a great holiday to all who follow. |
Barry & Yvonne James |
13-27 May 2001 |
First time in Cyprus for us too we
visited Troodos Mountains and the Kykkos Monastery worth doing. Weather let us down
we experienced wind and electric storms, but I think we did well in between,
compared to Portugal and Turkey! We think Pissouri is a nice village one of the
best and the villa is in a good spot. We would all come back again. |

April/May 2001 |
Our first visit to Cyprus and the villa and
its location were all we had hoped for. The weather was good on the whole; the mosaics at
Paphos are superb, Kourian is in a spectacular setting, and the Archeological Museum in
Nicosia is stunning. John & Antony enjoyed wind surfing, and climbing down the valley
behind the villa to the beach. We all enjoyed a trip into the Troodos mountains and
walking through fresh snow on Mount Olympus. The restaurants in Pissouri give plenty of
choice; The Two Friends, the Hideaway, the Bunch of Grapes & the Olympus were the
best. |
John, Wendy & Anthony Colles, Suffolk |
1-11 April 2001 |
Our first visit to Cyprus and we couldnt
have had a better base. Rushed around the island for 3 days and only then
relaxed enough to enjoy Pissouri & Kambos. The villa exceeded our expectations and the
weather was excellent we even swam in the pool twice. But what happened to the
goats? We didnt see a single one. Thanks for lending us your home. |
Andrew & Sian Sharpe, York |
11-18 March 2001 |
Once again, we have had a great holiday at
Villa Kambos! We had two thunderstorms and strong winds, but since then the weather has
been beautiful blue skies all day and the temperature has been in the mid 20s for
the last three weeks. We have enjoyed our walks in the evening, especially the ones that
ended up at the Olympus Palace to sample the great food and wine. We shall miss the
sunsets and the stars, and the general tranquility, and look forward to coming again
soon. Many thanks to Jimmy and Mary for their usual thoughtfulness and care. |

Had a super week lovely way to spend a
honeymoon. Must come back next year. Tavernas in square very good try the
Fish Pie in the Bunch of Grapes. Good mini-market down at Pissouri Beach
range of imported wines at reasonable prices. Wonderful, relaxing place
couldnt ask for better. Best beach is Melanda, 10-15 minutes towards Episkopi. Great
holiday / honeymoon well be back next year if you lot havent already
booked it all up! |

An even more relaxing
holiday than last year - didnt think it possible. Pissouri
& Kambos must be the perfect place to get away from everything & everybody (except
for the swallows & goats) - absolute bliss. Looking forward to next
year very much. |
Mr & Mrs Goodwin, Derbys |
25 June - 9 July 2000 |
A wonderful place to spend our honeymoon! Very
relaxing and peaceful, the perfect place to unwind after the busyness of the last few
months. Were told weve had the worst May weather for 10 years - but it still
beats Britain, and it certainly didnt spoil our special time in Cyprus. We even
managed to get in the pool a couple of times for a very bracing swim! Thank you! |
Mark and Debbie Dawson, London |
23 April - 7 May 2000 |
This is a delightful wheelchair-friendly villa
