The Vine Leaf
The one which just must not be missed. The most naturally Cypriot and relaxed of all the restaurants and tavernas in Pissouri. Operated and managed by its owner, Athos, you will always enjoy the food and the informality. In the summer eat under the vines, and in the winter in front of a log fire. Cypriots regard his meze as the best, he is proud of his fish, and his lamb chops really are, as Athos says himself “the best in the area”. As they say about Cyprus itself, go there once and you will certainly be sure to return many times. The best judge of a taverna in Cyprus is how many Cypriots go there on a Sunday lunchtime - Cypriots flock to the Vine Leaf in their hundreds on Sunday lunchtimes - demonstrating that they consider it the best.

Find it on the left just as you arrive at the beach area on the main road, or on the right, as you leave Pissouri Beach on the main road, about 100 metres from the beach. If you only visit one restaurant or taverna while in Pissouri, it must be the Vine Leaf - tell Athos ‘Mr Roger’ sent you!

The Yialos Tavern
Built to provide a view of the sea to its clients - an aim which succeeded spectacularly, delightful views over the bay. A quality restaurant offering a quality menu, with excellent service. It is particularly good for fish dishes in which it specialises.

Liminaki Restaurant
Right on the beach front, the original beach taverna, now reduced in size to the side of the building. Offers drinks, snacks and meals throughout the year. The perfect place for a relaxing lunch with a sea view, provide meals and snacks at lunchtime. Completely refurbished in 2005.

Artemis
Situated in an impressive relatively new building. Just across the road from Pepis. Could be seen as either a restaurant or a taverna, and for that reason often appeals to the more sophisticated. Family run.

Captain's Bay Restaurant
Has the prime position on the sea front, and like the other beach tavernas offers meals, snacks and drinks of all kinds. Under new (2006) management.

Agamemnon

Along the beach towards the east, almost in front of Yialios, but almost on the beach. You cannot miss its yellow tables and chairs. Open in the summer for meal and snacks of all kinds. The best place to lose an afternoon with a bottle of wine or beer and a good book. Well worth a visit.

Kastro's
New but traditional taverna, offering wide choice of meals for all tastes with an excellent view during daylight hours. Perfect for a relaxed lunch, summer or winter.

Perry's

Yet another of Pissouri. Beach's eating places, plenty of choice for all tastes.

Ampeli
The Ampeli Restaurant is about 500 metres from the beach in the Ampelohori village. It is a joint venture between Demetris and Andreas--an experienced Chef. Marvellous views looking down the vineyards to the side through to Troodos and the front the crystal clear swimming pool complete with children's padding pool. The beautifully decorated "Ampeli" restaurant offers tempting selections of local and international specialties that suit everyone's taste. With excellent service and friendly atmosphere it is the perfect place for a relaxing lunch and dinner with a traditional Cypriot hospitality.
